Last updated 26 October 2026

This policy explains how NanoTek Innovations Limited(“NanoTek”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit nanotekai.com, contact us, work with us, or interact with NanoTek on social media. We are based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria and handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

1. Data we collect

When you visit our website

Our website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and has no sign-up forms. Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical data (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to deliver and secure the site. Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your own browser and is never sent to us.

When you contact us

If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us about your project.

When you become a client

We keep the business and billing details needed to deliver and invoice our work, along with project files and communications.

When you use our social media integrations

NanoTek uses tools that connect to TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn and X to publish content to our own accounts. When an account is connected through these platforms’ official login (OAuth), we receive only what that platform shares with the permissions granted, typically:

  • basic profile information (such as account ID, display name and avatar);
  • access tokens that let us post on that account’s behalf;
  • information about content we publish (such as post IDs and publishing status).

We never receive or store your password. We use this data only to upload and publish content to the connected account and to check whether a post went live. We do not use it for advertising, sell it, or combine it with other data to profile anyone.

2. How we use personal data

  • To reply to enquiries and prepare quotes.
  • To deliver, support and invoice the work you hire us for.
  • To publish and manage NanoTek’s own social media content.
  • To keep our website and systems secure.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We rely on your consent, the need to perform a contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and promoting our business, and our legal obligations, as applicable.

3. Client projects

When we build websites, apps, games or AI agents for a client, that client decides how their customers’ data is used, and we process it only on their instructions. If you are a customer of one of our clients, please contact that business first about your data.

4. Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us operate, under appropriate confidentiality and security terms. These include website hosting, email, database and payment providers, integration services that connect us to social platforms, and the social platforms themselves when we publish content. We may also disclose data where the law requires it. We never sell personal data.

Some of these providers are located outside Nigeria. Where data is transferred abroad, we take steps to ensure it is protected as required by Nigerian data protection law.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months, client records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, and social media access tokens only while the account stays connected. Disconnecting an account, or revoking access in the platform’s own settings, stops our access. We then delete the stored tokens.

6. Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls and reputable providers to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, but we will notify you and the relevant authority of a breach where the law requires it.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email admin@nanotekai.com. We will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

8. Children

Our website and services are aimed at businesses and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
